The Annual HCEA 2000 National Convention in Seward, NE was an
outstanding show. The host Geis Steel Tech, Inc. has a super
location for the show and was able to accommodate all of the visitors and
exhibitors with a hospitality
that rural Nebraska is well known for. David Geis should be
commended for the work that he and his company did for the show and the HCEA.

HCEA 2000
1) furthest HCEA show to the West:
2) the
largest amount of equipment of any show since its inception;
3) first show with new equipment displayed;
4) quite
possibly one of the largest attendances;
5) did a real construction project, built a dam that will remain in place after
the show, usually they dig holes and then fill them right back in, and;
6) the banquet has the was the largest
ever with close to 400 attendees--Tickets were sold out so I was unable to
attend.
SHOW NEWS:
1) US HCEA board just voted on Thursday to move their website to a new vendor and there will be a site redesign. This is because the present volunteer is being overwhelmed with the growing demands of the site
2) ACMOC is preparing to do a redesign of their website.
3) It was this may be one of the last independent HCEA shows to be done. It takes quite a lot of work to do one, there needs to be a sponsor and there are some show vendor issues. This statement came from the ACMOC board member and has not been confirmed by the HCEA.
Pictures
Over the next several weeks I will be posting many of the pictures that were taken. Well over 100 of them There will be several home movies of the dam being built, and other equipment in use.
